Property fraud occurs when someone records a fraudulent document in the county land records office, making it look like they own your home or property. A property fraud alert is a notification service that alerts subscribers against the possibilities of fraudulent activity being committed against their property.
The Lenawee County Register of Deed's office is now online with this system. Residents can begin signing up for alerts immediately, with alerts starting on February 1, 2025.
